Your Club Secretary and Historian as well as artistic members have an important role to play in accumulating information to formulate an attractive and thorough Awards application. All members can help ! Some Florida Junior Civitan Clubs will win the District Awards so why not your Club?
Your Club could also win International Awards !
Remember to keep:
- Notes about each project including goals and results - Club participation and hours devoted to the project - Promotional materials; Posters, Notices - Pictures ...... lots of pictures (remember "a picture is worth a thousand words") - News Releases, Public Service Announcements, Event Notices - News articles, record of TV and Radio exposure - Mentions in your school or community newsletters and mentions on your school website - Thank you letters from those your Club helped (ask for a letter) - Congratulations letters (ask your Sponsoring Civitan Club and your Principal for letters)
NOTE: Remember to keep accurate information. After a project, sit down and write a summary and information that could be included in an award. The longer you wait, the less you will remember about the project.
