Birmingham is not only headquarters for Civitan International and Junior Civitan International, it is the home of our Civitan International (medical) Research Center. Junior Civitans are excited about the opportunity to visit our research center, renew friendships, make new friends and attend leadership training workshops! Oops and win Awards! Go Florida Go!

Florida Junior Civitan Matthew Pendelton was elected Junior Civitan International President at the June 2010 International Convention in Jacksonville FL. Matthew earned Distinguished Governor of Excellence for 2009-2010 and was the originator of the "Race for Research - Run, Walk or Roll for a Cure" and "Be a NO PHONE Driver - Phocus on the Road". Both projects were successful with the help of the whole Board and all the Clubs in Florida!

THURSDAY NIGHT WE HAD A GREAT MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER WHO HELPED OUR JUNIOR CIVITANS LEARN TO BALANCE THEIR LIFE....SCHOOL, WORK AND ALL THE GREAT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS THEY DO WITH THEIR JUNIOR CIVITAN CLUB. SPEAKERS DONATE THEIR TIME FOR JUNIOR CIVITAN BECAUSE OF ALL THE GOOD OUR JUNIOR CIVITAN MEMBERS DO IN THE COMMUNITY! PREVIOUS JUNIOR CIVITAN MEMBERS DONATE THEIR SUMMER VACATION TIME RUNNING THE LIGHTS AND AUDIO EQUIPMENT.
